Security
Secure your personal sign-in with passkeys and two-factor authentication. Manage both from Account → Security.
These protect your FoundersBoxx login. Investors and board members signing in through the stakeholder portal use secure magic links instead.
Passkeys
A passkey lets you sign in without a password using Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware security key. It’s both faster and more phishing-resistant than a password.
Add a passkey
- Go to Account → Security → Manage passkeys.
- Click Add a passkey.
- Your browser or device prompts you to confirm (fingerprint, face, PIN, or security key).
- Give the passkey a nickname so you can recognize it later (for example, “MacBook Touch ID”).
You can register several passkeys — one per device you use.
Sign in with a passkey
On the login screen, choose Sign in with a passkey and confirm on your device. No email or password needed.
Remove a passkey
From Manage passkeys, delete any passkey you no longer use. Keep at least one other way to sign in (another passkey or your password) so you don’t get locked out.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds a one-time code from an authenticator app on top of your password.
Enable 2FA
- Go to Account → Security and start the 2FA setup.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, etc.).
- Enter the 6-digit code to confirm.
- Save your backup codes. They’re shown once — store them somewhere safe.
After this, you’ll enter a code from your app each time you sign in.
Backup codes
If you lose access to your authenticator app, use a backup code to sign in. You can view or regenerate your backup codes from the Security settings at any time. Regenerating invalidates the old set.
Disable 2FA
You can turn 2FA off from Security settings if you need to.
Tips
- Set up more than one sign-in method. A second passkey or your password plus backup codes means a lost device never locks you out.
- Store backup codes outside FoundersBoxx — a password manager is ideal.
- Use a passkey on your main device for the smoothest day-to-day login.
