Investor Pipeline

The Fundraising module is a CRM for an active raise. It helps you find, court, and track the investors you’re pitching — from first prospect to committed check.

This is distinct from the Investors / Cap Table section, which records completed financing and ownership. Fundraising is the live deal flow; the cap table is the result. See Cap Table and Funding Rounds for that side.

The Fundraising dashboard

The dashboard gives you an at-a-glance read on your raise:

  • Pipeline funnel — investor count by stage.
  • Active round progress — target vs. committed for your current round.
  • Weekly outreach activity — what you and your team have been doing.
  • Overdue tasks — anything that has slipped.
  • Recent-activity feed — a running log of the latest interactions.

Investor records

Each investor record is a contact in your pipeline — someone you’re courting, not a shareholder on your cap table. A record holds:

  • Name and email
  • Type — angel, VC, family office, corporate VC, accelerator, syndicate, or other
  • Priority tier — cold, warm, or hot
  • One or more contacts at the firm
  • A check-size range
  • A running touch count of how many times you’ve reached out

Pipeline stages

Investors move through 10 stages:

  1. Prospect
  2. Researching
  3. Intro made
  4. Meeting scheduled
  5. Pitched
  6. Due diligence
  7. Term sheet
  8. Committed
  9. Funded
  10. Passed / nurture

The kanban board

The pipeline view is a kanban board with one column per stage. Drag an investor card between columns to update their stage. Each card shows the investor’s name, type, priority, and last-contacted date.

Importing investors

To bring an existing list into FoundersBoxx, use CSV import. The importer gives you:

  • A preview of the rows before they’re saved
  • Validation of the data
  • Deduplication so you don’t create the same investor twice

Finding investors

Across the pipeline you can:

  • Search by name or email
  • Filter by name, email, stage, type, priority, or source
  • Sort and page through results
